Will some Christians be left behind? - 11/27/2002
To the Contender Ministries Webmasters,
I am an 18 year old australian who has been in the church all my life. I firmly believe in the salvation that christ has given me through his death on the cross. I have found your site to be informative and incouraging but most of all i feel i have been equipped in many ways. My thanks and incouragement in your ministry.
I have a request. I would like to know weither cerain christians will be left behind after the rapture to lead the new christians. I will be conducting my own research and study into
this but i just thought i would ask for your sites insight.
May God Bless your ministry Greatly.
In god love,
CONTENDER MINISTRIES RESPONSE:
Greetings and thank you for contacting Contender Ministries. We want to thank you for your words of encouragement, and for your dedication to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's very uplifting to hear from a brother in Christ such as yourself, who seeks to gain more understanding in the Word.
Regarding your question about Christians left behind: it is our
understanding, after exhaustive research in the Word of God, that all Christians will be raptured prior to the tribulation. The Bible is also clear that during the tribulation, there will be two witnesses who will preach the gospel. Because of their testimony, many will come to accept Christ during that time. Among them will be 144,000 Jews that will recognize Jesus as the Messiah, and will spread the gospel around the world. Now those are things the Bible seems pretty clear on. I will go further,
based on supposition, and submit that many who have heard the gospel, but do not accept Christ prior to the rapture, will then come to Christ. They will recognize what has occurred, and accept the salvation offered through the sacrifice on the cross.
I hope this answered your question. Please study the Word diligently, and see if you come to the same conclusions. Your faith and your service to our Savior are to be commended. We thank you again for your kind words, and we pray that God will richly bless you as you contend for the faith.
